Mt Tamborine is well known as an idyllic location…but not lately
Nature unleashed it’s full force on our quiet hamlet and we were generally totally unprepared for the full forces that was hurled upon us. Fortunately there were no casualties and all that we lost was a number of trees that can be replanted.
We did lose power which was a real lesson to us. Our large generator sat watching the calamity unfold, not in shape and not ready for such a big occassion. Next time we will be totally prepared for these sorts of contingencies
It was wonderful seeing the whole community supporting each other and our gratitude goes out the those amazing State Emergency Services folk who gave and gave and gave
