I recently stayed at The Escarpment for two nights and found it a relaxing experience.
My villa was surrounded by lush greenery, while the interior was extremely spacious. One can open the door to the patio for a lovely view of the environment, but watch out for the native wildlife such as lizards and scrub turkeys – I was content with viewing everything from behind the safety of the glass-panelled doors. The four-poster bed was soft and comfortable to sleep in, while the spa bathtub was a real treat. I didn’t really make use of the kitchenette, but the supplies in the fridge on counters (drinks, teas, etc) seemed more than sufficient.
Breakfast is fantastic – freshly cooked upon order, with huge portions. The pancakes are divine.
There’s also a spa within the resort, and the massage I had there was one of the better ones I’ve had in a long time.
This is a great place to escape to with one’s spouse – The Escarpment is really a world away from everyday life, and staying there gives you a real chance to unwind, with minimal distraction from the ‘real’ world.
