Tripadvisor Review – Beautiful, Relaxing & Intimate Stay At Escarpment

Written by Temeha from Brisbane, Australia

tripadvisor travelers' choice 2012My husband and I enjoyed a child-free getaway at the Escarpment Retreat in Nov 11 while attending a friend’s wedding at Mt Tamborine. Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing and it was a shame we couldn’t stay longer! We booked a 2 night weekend package, unfortunately due to work commitments that cropped up after we booked we had to leave late on the sunday evening but were still able to stay and enjoy the resort and its facilities until we were ready to leave.

The hosts are very friendly, professional and efficient without being intrusive, they are willing to help in any way they can and it seemed nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast we experienced on Sunday morning was absolutely delicious and one of the best breakfasts I have ever enjoyed. I could wake up to a lovely cooked breakfast like that every Sunday morning! The quiet & peaceful setting meant we were able to rest up and relax on the Sunday (allowing us to recover after a rather big night at the wedding Saturday night!). The room was very spacious and had a lovely romantic feel to it, my husband was happy there was a TV so he could watch the V8 racing on Sunday while recovering!

We would not hesitate to recommend the Escarpment to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing and romantic couples getaway, and we would definitely return if we ever manage to get another child-free weekend away.

Carolynne and I enjoy reading guest reviews. I guess it makes us feel that we are helping to give our guests a special experience and a chance to re-charge.

However I must confess that I think that your review was one of the most comprehensive of what folk can expect when they stay here.
