The Springtime On The Mountain Festival is an annual event and has been a popular event for over 30 years. Mount Tamborine’s gardeners are an enthusiastic bunch who can create magic with their green fingers and no wonder as our mountain has some of the of the most fertile soil in the world. The green thumbed garden folk got together to create the Mt Tamborine Garden Club. They stage this blooming fun weekend every year in in early spring held at the Mt Tamborine Botanic Gardens which explains why this iconic place is so beautiful as its presentation is funded largely by this event
On show will be some of the unique plants and trees that are indigenous to the unique climate of Mt Tamborine. You can purchase some beautiful greenery at the plant stall, listen to the dulcet tones of roving entertainers,, devour a scrumptious lunch or afternoon tea at the Club Café or bring your own yummy treats and find a cosy picnic spot to enjoy the atmosphere.
Although the Botanic Gardens are the centre piece of activity, for me the really fascinating part of the adventure is the Open Gardens Trail and being anbe to wander through and marvel at a number of selected private gardens that are open to the public just on this festive weekend.
