Scenic Rim 4Real Milk will be launched on June 25 at the Scenic Rim Eat Local Week at 1pm, to be officiated by Minister John McVeigh. Part of the event will give the public a chance to sample the milk, view the robotic dairy and experience the whole process of producing, processing and bottling milk. This Scenic Rim Eat Local Week includes a whole week of events and festivities celebrating local food and wine in the Scenic Rim
The good news is that we don’t have to wait much longer as the milk is already ready on the shelves, shops and in cafes in Mt Tamborine area.
“Making the decision to process and bottle our own milk is one we haven’t taken lightly. Our family is committed to saving this farm however. We’ve received hundreds of messages of support from people as far away as Perth – it’s really given us the confidence that there are people out there who not only want to support local Australian farmers, but who also value fresh, minimally processed milk delivered straight to their shops and cafes,” said Greg Dennis, owner of Scenic Rim Robotic Dairy.
Greg’s 230 Holstein dairy cows produce around 6000 litres of milk per day, and is receiving requests almost on a daily basis from shops and cafes wishing to stock his milk as consumers come into stores requesting Scenic Rim 4Real Milk.
