There are many many things to do on Mt Tamborine. Undoubtedly my favourite activity to
while away a few hours would be a visit to our wonderful Sunday markets.
Both are an institution on the mountain and both attract visitors from as far as Ballina
in the south through to folk from the Sunshine Coast in the north
Common questions from our guests include where are they, when are they on, what time and what is the difference between the 2 markets. I shall attempt to answer those questions here
The Showgrounds Market is located in the Tamborine Mountain Showgrounds on Main Road and runs from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. It is on the 2nd Sunday of each month. It is a large market and features a plethora of arts and craft, a central food area, entertainment, plant stalls and activities for the kids including a small racing car track, animal nursery, pony rides etc
The School Market gets it’s name from the Tamborine Mountain primary school directly opposite. The market is located on the north east corner of Long Road and Curtis Road Eagle Heights and runs from 8:00 am to approximately 2:00 pm on the last Sunday of each month. It includes many of the stalls at the Showgrounds Market
