Next weekend is shaping up to be a very exciting weekend on the mountain. It is the Garter Belts & Gasoline festival. Spanning over 4 days from Friday to Monday it will be a fantastic event.
The theme for the event will be based around the nostalgic celebration of the Cars, Music, Fashion, Art and Culture inspired from the 1940s and 1950s and what better location than to have the headquarters next door at the old historic St Bernards pub which will provide lots of great entertainment and fun activities for everyone
Meanwhile down at the Showgrounds on the Sunday will be a Hot Rod Carnivale and will include a vintage market, food stalls, live music, a pin up booth and a beauty pageant
There will be a 4 day art show at the Showgrounds including paintings, photography, carvings, sculptures etc
Movies of the era will be shown at the Zamia theatre over the weekend
On the Saturday morning there will be a soap box derby on Main Street
Lastly, Tamborine Mountain Tours will have a festival pass so that you will be able to ride the trolleys around all week end to and from the different venues.
