Mt Tamborine Markets
Mt Tamborine is home to three fantastic markets. The first is called the Country Markets and is on the 2nd Sunday of each month. The second is the Green Shed, which is the local market for fresh fruit & vegetables, flowers, honey, nuts, herbs and plants – open every Sunday morning. The third one is the School Ground Markets and is on the last Sunday of each month.
Hot Air Balloon
Experience the breathtaking scenery of Mt Tamborine from a colourful Hot Air Balloon. Hot Air offers a variety of packages, the most popular one being a Scenic Ride with Champagne Breakfast.
The Escarpment Retreat is the closest accommodation on the mountain to the Canungra Tourist Information Centre, one of their many meeting points. They don’t allow their passengers to meet them at the launch site as they take off from different locations everyday. The site is decided on just before dawn and will depend on wind speed and direction.
Hang-gliding and Paragliding
If you are thrill seekers looking for some adventure, why not fly above Mount Tamborine and experience Australia’s Gold Coast hinterland from the sky.
Approved by the Hang Gliding Federation of Australia, Canungra Sky Sports offers a range of hang glidinng and paragliding courses that are supervised by owner HGFA certified Chief Flight Instuctor Lisa Bradley.
No experience or short of time? Tandem hang-gliding and paragliding only requires 2 or 3 hours of your time plus your instructor will control the glider. These introductory courses are a great chance for you to learn and feel first hand how it is to fly.

Glow Worm Caves
Enjoy a magical experience with your children in a limestone world with thousands of glowing bugs and water features. The caves are open everyday from 10 am to 4 pm, tours leave every half an hour from the ticket office.
Your trip to the Gold Coast Hinterland will not be complete without experiencing South East Queensland’s longest canopy walk, the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk. Featuring forest floor trails, high-tech steel bridges plus a forty metre cantilever bridge suspended thirty metres above the creek and forest underneath.
Learn about local animals, reptiles, birds plus local and indigenous Australian history at the Rainforest Eco Gallery. And if you need a snack before or after the forty-five minute walk, the Birdwing Cafe offers light food, sweet treats and coffee.
