The Creativity Tour

Submitted by admin |Mar 03, 2011 |

Not sure if it is the pristine air, something in the water  or whether there are other universal forces at work but mountains always seem to attract creative and sometimes eccentric characters to live on them.

Mt Tamborine is no exception, being well known for it's talented and creative artistic folk.

Next time you are up on our mountain you may like to visit these galleries to view some of the  these amazingly gifted artists creations

The Escarpment Retreat recently had international muralist Jay Hayes from New York  stay here as our resident artist. After consulting with local aboriginal elders Jay was able to turn two old tree stumps into  3 dimensional murals which tell the story of a day in the life at the Escarpment from a fauna and flora perspective. The twin trunks have been brought to life showing the rainforest canopy and the creatures and plants that live below, here in our retreat.
